Every year, over 30 Welcome Week Counselors dedicate their time and energy for one action-packed week to help welcome the Freshmen Class to Lon Morris College.
What is a Welcome Week Counselor?
An LMC Sophomore whose primary role during Welcome Week is to lead a small discussion group of freshmen in hopes of welcoming them into the Bearcat family by teaching traditions, offering insight into their own freshmen year, and providing continual support throughout their duration at Lon Morris College.
Welcome Week Counselors provide an “unconditionally accepting environment” while upholding the reputation and integrity of Lon Morris. These volunteer positions are very rewarding and are an opportunity to touch many lives.
