Library Committee

(1)  Membership: Three full‑time faculty members.  The director of Henderson Library and the academic dean are ex‑officio members.  Two students, one freshman and one sophomore, will serve as voting members.  They must represent two different academic divisions.

(2)  Selection: The chairperson of the Faculty Senate and the academic dean will appoint the faculty members, considering the stated preferences of the faculty members.  The student members will be appointed by the Student Senate after an open invitation has been issued to the student body.  Students who work in the library will be ineligible to serve on this committee.  Student members will serve from October through May.

(3)  Purpose:  To serve as an advisory panel for library services, policies and budget and as a liaison between faculty, students, administration, and the library staff.

(4)   Duties:

(a)  Serve as an advisory panel for library services, policies, and budget.

(b)  Serve as the communication organization among faculty, students, administration, and the library staff.
