Phi Theta Kappa is an internationally known honor society on junior college campuses.  It is recognized for its development of leaders and scholars.  The Rho Chapter at Lon Morris College is the oldest chapter in the state of Texas.  Throughout its long history, Rho Chapter has made numerous contributions to the student life and the academic community of LMC. 

Phi Theta Kappans focus on the hallmarks of scholarship, leadership, service, and fellowship. 

Students who earn a 3.5 GPA on 12 or more college hours are formally invited to be inducted into our chapter.  Once inducted, students who maintain a 3.2 grade point average, are lifetime members of this worldwide organization.

Four-year colleges recognize the excellence of Phi Theta Kappans by offering scholarships specifically to our members.
