SERVICE/WORK REQUEST PROCEDURE:
This procedure is applicable for requesting work or service from the Maintenance, Grounds, Housekeeping, Food Service, Safety, Security, Technology, and Transportation Departments. Staff and Students may make requests by e-mail. E-mail is the preferred way because it creates a paper-trail, is more expeditious, and maximizes service.
PROCEDURE FOR MAKING A REQUEST:
There is one email to address for all your immediate needs: servicedesk@lonmorris.edu
For emergency needs (everything is not an emergency), call one of the following: Security (Mark Johnson) 903-589-4045 (Rover on duty) 903-262-6860
With e-mail requests, expect a same work day response.
OPERATION PROCEDURE:
- After the request has been received by the service desk, an e-mail response will be sent to the requester on the same work day acknowledging that the request has been received and is being processed.
- The request will be considered by a person in authority.
- Another e-mail response will be dispatched to the requester outlining a time-line for completion and an explanation, if the solution will require more than a day to complete.
- Following the completion of a job, a follow-up, e-mail message will be sent to all contacts involved with the job.
- If the expected date of completion must be extended, because of a dire necessity, an e-mail message will be dispatched to the requester with an explanation and updated information. NOTE: Priorities will be set for rectifying problems and answering requests.
- No responses will be made to hard-copy or verbal requests for service.
NOTE: Should Work/Service Requests fail to be addressed within a reasonable time, or should there be complaints regarding service, report these issues to Tommy Ferguson (903-589-4016).
Please download the following form, place it conveniently in your computer, and use it as an attachment to e-mail for all service and work requests.
