Lon Morris College offers a unique and innovative program for the 7th - 12th grades in six school districs in the jacksonville area. The program is called Scholar Dollars and is a grades for scholarship program. School districts involved are Bullard, Frankston, Jacksonville, Neches, New Summerfield and Rusk. Students may earn scholarship dollars for future use at Lon Morris College. Trinity Mother frances Health System-Jacksonville helps to sponsor the program. The purpose of Scholar Dollars is to introduce students to a college campus and to help them understand that it is possible for them to attend college. The program also enhances scholarship in the classroom.
Each six weeks: Each A earned = $20.00 Each B Earned = $12.00 Each C earned = $ 3.00

| Each year the students in the Scholar Dollars Program attend an event on the campus. Miss Texas 2003, Sunni Cranfill, visited the campus and spoke with the Scholar Dollars participants. Miss Texas told the Scholar Dollars participants that perserverance has been a key element in her success.
