The International Club of Lon Morris College encourages our international students to become a part of the LMC family by providing a smaller "family" they can be a part of while attending college far away from home. It encourages international students to fully participate in all campus activities and provides acceptance and support for their endeavors.
Activities of the International Club include a Welcome To The U.S.A. Party, picnics, dances, participation in LMC celebrations, and visits to local museums and other places of interest in East Texas. Service projects and money making activities are also important activities of the International Club.
The big event of the year is always the International Fair because students have the opportunity to spotlight their countries by exhibiting native dress, artifacts, pictures, food, music, money, and photographs. Students also perform native songs and dances during the fair, and the LMC community and citizens of Jacksonville enjoy the event almost as much as the international students.
