SCENIC DESIGNER/TECHNICAL DIRECTOR (FALL 2010)
LonMorrisCollege seeks a DESIGNER - TECHNICAL DIRECTOR for a strong production-oriented program offering AA and AFA degrees in Acting, Musical Theatre and Technical Theatre beginning August 2010.Ideal candidate will have successful college teaching experience, and practical experience in all Technical aspects of Design and Production. Production responsibilities include designing sets, lights and sound for four Mainstage productions and at least one Dance concert per academic year; development of ground plans, elevations and/or models; execution of all technical aspects (building and painting of scenery, light hang and focus, etc.); supervision of scene shop and student work crews, attendance at all tech/dress rehearsals and production meetings.Hand drafting skills a necessity; computer drafting a plus.
Academic responsibilities include teaching Stagecraft I and II, Scenic Design, Stage Make-up, Theatre Practicum and occasionally Theatre Appreciation.Possibility for directing is available.All LMC faculty participate in academic advising, committee service, and student retention and recruiting.

DANCE ARTIST/EDUCATOR(SPRING 2010)
Lon Morris College seeks a DANCE ARTIST / EDUCATOR for an Asst. Professor position to design curriculum, recruit and teach for a NEW program offering an AFA degree in Dance. Ideal candidate will have successful college and/or conservatory teaching experience with a strong Dance pedagogy background, professional dance experience and technical proficiency/practical experience in a broad spectrum of Dance styles.
Responsibilities will begin ASAP in Spring 2010 – designing the new program’s curriculum while recruiting the first freshman class for Fall 2010. Additional responsibilities beginning in Fall 2010 will include teaching performance and academic dance courses, choreographic support for main-stage Theatre productions, production of an annual dance concert, academic advising, committee service and continued recruiting.

LonMorrisCollege is seeking an energetic individual to be part of the Admissions Office recruiting team.
Responsibilities include:
Representing LMC at various recruitment functions such as on-campus high school visits and college fairs.
Evaluating applications for admission and interviewing prospective students.
Participation in recruitment programs and projects on and off campus.
Advise and counsel prospects, applicants, students and other interested parties. regarding LMC’s admission policies and procedures as well as general information about the College
Assist with admission application process.
Assist with organizing campus tour groups and student led tours.
Adherence to Christian-centered mission of the college
Discharge other duties as requested or assigned by the director.
Qualifications include:
Must communicate effectively with people from varied social, educational and economic backgrounds and have a genuine desire to work with students.
Must be able to work without constant supervision, make decisions, have good judgment and strong organizational skills.
Ability to travel and work some weekends and evenings as necessary.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
