TRUSTEE'S LEADERSHIP ACADEMY OF SCHOLARS Director: LMC Board of Trustees--contact aholloway@lonmorris.edu Camp Dates: July 17-20, 2008 Description: The Trustee’s Leadership Academy of Scholars aims to promote the development of existing and emerging leaders and to create a committed, involved, and diverse network of student leaders. Students who are selected are given the opportunity to, not only learn from today’s leaders, but also gain the skills necessary to lead in the 21st century. The program is diverse and exciting, and provides opportunities for dialogue between the participants and inspiring personalities. Each year, the academy invites up to a maximum of 80 applicants who are classified as a sophomore or junior in high school to attend a 4-day leadership camp led by notable speakers and community leaders. The Academy will provide an opportunity to experience a real college campus—dorm life, campus activities, college classrooms, etc. During this time, a scholarship committee will also interview candidates for Lon Morris College scholarships. Registration fee: Board Member paid sponsorship
